Down to the wire

Not too much has happen this week. Last Friday Jamie and I went to our favorite hair dresser and pampered ourselves. It is going to be extremely hard to find a Hairdresser like Kim, she is the best.

Saturday we went to our cousin Shawn's girlfriends baby shower. Missy is a fabulous girl who as of last Saturday was 36 weeks pregnant with Cayden Edward Williamson. It was nice to get everyone together for the first summer party. Luckily there will be more to come before Jamie and I have to take off. That evening Jamie and I went back to the mall to see the movie UP which was awesome and will not lie I cried, strongly suggest seeing it.

Sunday was a day of lounging and packing, I had been avoiding the kitchen as I really was not looking forward to packing that. So I did start and it is as bad as I thought it would be.

Monday was Mom's and Jamie's birthday, we met Aunt Threse and Victor out at Quaker Steak and Lube for dinner and returned home for presents and cake. Yumm! The best part of the day was I had had my dad go and pick up the cake I order for them. When we got to my parents house my dad was standing at the top of the stairs franticlly waving to me so I went upstairs and my dad then says " I bumped the cake" and I'm like "you bumped the cake" "like a noticable bump?" and my dad then feverishly began nodding his head. My dad then says " I was coming in the house and I caught my foot and bumped it and the top layer slid" Needless to say it still tasted delicious!

One more week and then Im on vacation, it will be low key which is totally needed right now as things at work have been slightly stressful as a certain person is leaning on my last nerve. I think it is funny when people complain about certain things but make no changes. I really wish people knew how well they had it at Enable. I am really going to miss that job.

One more week of work then vacation and then my last week of work!

Much love
Kasey

Memorial Day Weekend

So better late then never:

Memorial Day weekend we headed down to the National Lacrosse Championships which were taking place in the New England Patriots Stadium. My uncle who works for an insurance company had gotten tickets for the game and they were in the Corporate Box. My Dad, my brother and my self loaded up into the family truckster and headed to Boston. Now although the three of us always seem to have a really good time when not under the supervision of mom there is a reason for that as we proceed to act our shoe size and not our age. I won't go into detail but I about peed my pants several times from laughing so hard. So this Corporate box was great free food, we had a waitress to pour drinks and they even made fancy designs with the papertowels and toilet paper! Saturday was the semi finals and Syracuse played Duke and won. Sunday were the championships for division 2 and 3. On Monday it was championship game day Syracuse verses Cornell. It was a nail biter but with 2 minutes left of overtime Syracuse pulled it off which was a great topper to the weekend.

Other then that the last few weeks of May had been spent going to confrences and turing in every thing for my California Licsence. Two weekends ago I was in Binghamton to attend a conferences with Lisa. The best part about that weekend despite Lisa bringing a small pantry with her to the lecture was when we were driving to the bar for a rock band fundraiser and Lisa looked to her right were on the on ramp were 3 or 4 police cars and goes " Oh is that a DWI stop?" to which I responded with " Lisa it's only 6 oclock!"

The apartment is looking very empty as this Friday we got the moving truck for Uncle Bob's and loaded all the furniture into it. Jamie and I went out and got blow up mattress to sleep on which suprisingly are very comfy. Everything is almost done now we just have to tackle the kitchen.

It's crazy to think that I am down to 3 more weeks in the apartment , then I'm going on vacation and then when I get back I will have 1 week left at work and 2 weeks before Jamie and I hit the road. Even when I say it out loud it doesn't hit me. I am just so grateful for these past two years with my cousin and having this opportunity to grow and branch out, I'm sure eventually it will all hit me but for right now Im just too excited about this new adventure.
